Working with The Hard stuff

Thanks to sponsorship from Landfill Disposals Tax Communities Scheme and WCVA, National Lottery Awards 4 All and Postcode Community Trust we are able to begin our stone carving workshops at Clywedog Creative Hub.

This course is for Armed Forces Veterans who may be finding it difficult adjusting to civilian life. We use the physical activity of stone carving to promote mental wellbeing in an environment that is safe and relaxing. Attending a Stone Carving workshop enables people to discover and learn new creative skills and techniques that have been used for thousands of years. Set within beautiful and inspirational surroundings, in the open air if the weather permits, it brings people closer to nature for an enjoyable experience – one where most surprise themselves at what they can produce.

This workshop is perfect for re-connecting with a fundamental creativity within all of us, whether we are actively creative in our everyday life or not.

Radiate Arts are proud to be able to deliver this service to our local communities.

Unfortunately, due to current Covid-19 restrictions, we will be unable to go ahead with planned activities for Armed Forces Day at Clywedog on 27th June. We appreciate the work and sacrifices of all our Armed Forces personnel and their families and we plan to celebrate in 2021. Thank you!
