True Colours

Creative workshops and experiences for the LGBTQ+ community in Cheshire

True Colours is a series of creative workshops that enable people in our LGBTQ+ community in Cheshire to express themselves creatively and freely for positive mental health and wellbeing.

This project is kindly funded by The National Lottery Community  and Cheshire West and Chester Council.

What will happen in the sessions?

Our sessions explore a variety of visual art forms that allow you to explore your creativity. Including painting, drawing, collage, photography, sculpture, textiles, machine sewing, pattern construction and creative writing.

All equipment is provided, and sessions are open to everyone. Those that want to learn new artistic outlets and those who already enjoy being creative, so you just need to come along!

Who can join?

​These sessions are free and aimed towards LGBTQ+ adults aged 18+.

No artistic or creative experience is necessary for these workshops, they are suitable for beginners and friendly guidance and advice is available throughout.

We hold most of our workshops in Chester city centre, at our studio.

When will they be?

We hold a variety of workshops at different times throughout the week. Workshop schedules can be found on the What's On page. Alternatively, check out our social media accounts to keep up to date on whats happening. 

One-to-one art therapy

There will also be the opportunity to access one-to-one art therapy sessions, which may take place online or in person.

 

Art therapy can be particularly beneficial for working through distressing issues you may be facing, and can contribute to long term wellbeing.
